Movement is a celebration of what your body can do.
The work began when Juliu Horvath suffered debilitating injuries from his professional dancing career in the mid-1970s. He spent the next seven years studying yoga and meditation, experiencing many profound insights into movement and healing. In the early 1980s he was ready to teach this new movement system to the world. What started as rehabilitation and training for dancers quickly gained ground with a more diverse clientele. He has continued to refine his classes into a format that almost any person of any age or state of health can participate in. Today, the Gyrotonic Method has grown to encompass over 13,000 trainers in more than 84 countries.
